Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival (OFFF)

Updated: May 22, 2020

We had an excellent time at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival a in 2016. We met soo many great people who love sheep. What a great place to be! The vendors were amazing too! We did well at the sheep show and won some ribbons in White Longwool sheep division as well as the Colored Longwool Sheep division. Terra Mia Annette won Reserve Grand Champion White Longwool as well as Best Fleece, her 1/2 sister (crossbred 25% Gotland x75% BFL) won 2nd place ewe lamb.Shady Oaks Priscilla won 2nd Place yearling. Shady Oaks Hank was a favorite among most of the guests who visited with our BFL's. He just wanted to be loved on by everyone. He won Jr. Reserve Champion and 1st place spring lamb. Jehovah's Winston won Grand Champion Colored Longwool overall, plus Best Fleece. On Sunday we had Annette, Stella and Winston sheared. We sold Stella's fleece right away to a very nice lady who also showed Isabelle how to knit. We were all happy to see Stella's locks go to a fiber artist who loves to see the fleece on the hoof. She also enjoyed giving some scratches to Winston. Winston's Fleece to show at festivals next year. Both Isabelle and I agreed that we would have loved to have spent more time with the vendors. We learned sooo much and even found a wool processor that we will be sending our fleeces to! We took a lot of pictures and met the most amazing people! We are really looking forward to next year.
